A little from our founder

Store 22 is an independent business based in Gillingham, Medway — but it didn’t start in a unit or a warehouse.

I started Store 22 in 2018 from home, working from my porch as a way to earn money around my first child. What began as a little idea soon started to grow, mostly through word of mouth and lovely customers telling their friends.

Before long, it became too much to run from indoors, so we rented a garage for extra storage. Then we outgrew that too, and moved into two rooms at the back of a book shop.

Now, Store 22 has its own industrial unit, a growing website, lots more suppliers to work with, and even auctions that help us find fantastic bargains for our customers.

We sell a bit of everything — homeware, gifts, cleaning, beauty, toys, stationery, seasonal treats and everyday essentials. Basically, it’s everything you never knew you needed.

What makes Store 22 special is the community around it. Our customers have supported us through so many stages of the business, including lockdown, having my second child, busy seasons, new ideas, open days, Facebook Lives and everything in between.

Every order is picked and packed with care, and I’m genuinely grateful for every customer who chooses to support this small business.
